FarmVille Toys

For those who are keen on buying toys that were made famous by their online version, then you may be for a treat this Christmas. After Rovio release "Angry Birds" items in the market, plush versions of the animals from Zynga's monster hit Facebook game "FarmVille" are following suit.

According to tech site Mashable, the first batch of online animals are already available for pre-orders, at least in the United States.

"We've seen Rovio do something similar with plush toys based on its megapopular multi-platform game Angry Birds, with amazing success. It'll be interesting to see if FarmVille-based plush toys can reach a similar level of success," Mashable said.

The plush domesticated animals - pigs, goats, cows, sheep, chickens, ducks, horses and rabbits - will be dressed in "seasonal winter outfits" and will cost US$ 9.99 each.

Mashable reported the toys will also come with 10 free Farm Cash, as well as a digital code that can be used in the game to collect a limited-edition virtual version of the plush toy.

Also, the report said players who collect all eight animals will receive an in-game Super Orchard.

It added the pre-orders should go live soon, and the toys may be available at Best Buy stores on 25 November 2011.

However, some critics are expecting the flood of cheaper and fake version once the market responds well with the promotional and advertising programs of Zynga. There are already some imitation available in the black market and this may compel mass production once Christmas season starts.
