Angry Birds Fashion

Move over fashion designers and aspiring models because the Angry Birds ballroom gown is coming to town. Well, maybe that was what the wife of an executive of Rovio, the company behind the hit game, was trying to achieve at the Finnish Presidential Palace to celebrate Finland’s independence.

Not contented with T-shirts, toys, bags and even a cookbook, Teija Vesterbacka, wife of Rovio chief marketing officer Peter Vesterbacka, sported an off-the-shoulder ballroom gown with an "Angry Birds" motif to the event.

However, Teija’s enthusiastic promotion was not shared by her husband who showed up clad in a formal suit.

According to the site, Marshable, there were a mixture of reactions online and on Twitter, as some called it “epic” while others were “disgusted.”

A certain Nanea Reeves tweeted that she was “Sooooo glad my husband didn’t create ‘Angry Birds.’ Quelle horreur! This dress is a nightmare.”

Angry Birds is still growing in user base every day, and the company is planning to expand to cartoon and plush slingshot toys. The branding and growth of Angry Birds has been phenomenal and analysts placed its earnings to around hundred million dollars per month.
