Features of Facebook App for Windows Phone

Facebook Phone App
For those who have yet to updated their Facebook app in their smartphones, I think you better do that now, especially those that are running Microsoft's Windows Phone.

Microsoft said Facebook for Windows Phone version 5.1.1.0 has been "overhauled" to ensure faster performance, and features a new user interface. It now has faster performance, a new user interface, improved navigation, support for multiple resolutions and tile sizes, and more.

Keeping up with friends is also supposed faster than ever.

The press release said the new app also has "improved navigation, support for multiple resolutions, and tile sizes, and more."

However, Windows Phone 7 users may again be left out as the latest app works with Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 7.5.

A report on The Next Web said the updated Facebook app for Windows Phone has "helpful photo-related feature additions," including attaching photos to messages and uploading them to Facebook in batches.

It also lets Facebook users unfriend people and unlike content, which it said are "pretty basic additions that really should have been there from the start when friending and liking were first added, in our opinion."
