The actress, who voiced "Frozen's" Elsa from the animated blockbuster, has revealed that “more icy fun is on the way – lots more actually!” Could this revelation be the one that fans are waiting for?
During a chat with The Telegraph, the 43-year-old singer/actress was asked about a possible sequel, a short film and a stage version of the Oscar-winning movie.
"They're all in the works, ha ha!" the Tony Award winner replied.
On whether or not she is again involved in the project, Menzel explained that, "I don't know what will happen with that, but the movie hopefully. We'll see. I'm just going along for the ride."
“Frozen” has become the most profitable animated Disney movie of all time and is continuing to rake in staggering amounts of money more than one year after its initial release, thanks to the sell-out success of the movie's merchandise.
The film made over US$ 1.2 billion worldwide in tickets alone, took home two Oscars and had practically every child, including adults to get hooked on its theme song, "Let It Go" until now.
In the lead-up to Christmas, stores across the country - and around the world - have sold out of all Frozen products, as parents desperately try to get hold of the latest Elsa or Anna doll for their child.
For some parents, their children's obsession with the popular animated flick, is costing them thousands of dollars a year, with many spending up to $800 on special themed birthday parties and, in some cases, more than US$ 1,500 on sold-out limited edition toys.
