Comedian Suspended by FB for Ranting Against Paris Attack

Jason Manford
Comedian Jason Manford had his Facebook page suspended last 13 November after posting an expletive-ridden tirade against the perpetrators of the terrorist attacks in Paris.

Whilst Jason’s page is now back on the site, the post itself has been removed – with the "Ordinary Lies" actor defending his decision to publish the post, saying he was 'sharing my opinion online like everyone else'.

The post, which was screen-grabbed by fans before being taken down, read:

"F**king cowards. Slaughtering innocent unarmed people for what? Families and children enjoying life, theatre, meals? Not an army vs army you f**king cowards,"

"For what? In whose name? Are you doing this in the name of your god? Cos I’ve got news for you, if you think your 'god’ is gonna reward you for this type of atrocity then your god is a massive c**t."

"I hope you are all caught and murdered in a similar agonizing way you f**king scumbags. You are an embarrassment to humanity and a s**t stain on all of humanity. You will never defeat us, we are too strong you utter b**tards (sic)."
Most people agreed with the basic premise behind Jason’s post, but some Twitter users claimed the former "8 Out of 10 Cats" panelist was being Islamophobic.

He was forced to defend himself again, replying: "I’d say the same no matter what religion. My track record is proof enough I simply dislike extremists. As we all do."

"You’re obviously very upset so will leave you to it. I apologise if I caused you any more upset on such a horrible evening. xx"
