Social media can be cruel and not for the faint-hearted. Once you post something, don't expect to receive only praises from well-wishers. Expect also a dilluge of criticisms and negative feedback. That's what you call freedom of speech and expression.
The lesson was conveyed to a group of plus-sized Disney park influencers based in Massachusetts who were relentlessly teased for their weight by a Boston sports radio show who called them "fatsos".
The smiling hosts also cracked jokes about going dumpster-diving for day-old food at the park and crassly suggested the group could "sit in the water" like seals to be fed fish.
This can be considered as an insult by the group, but the radio hosts can freely say what they think and express their opinion about what they see being shared publicly.
Hosts Fred Toucher and Rob "Hardy" Poole of 98.5 The Sports Hub have been criticized by proponents of obesity for their "supposedly" vile commentary made about the five ladies who run "Plus Sized Park Hoppers" during their show.
One of the quintuplet, Stephanie Lanciani, called out the "Toucher and Hardy" show — they previously were criticized for "gross" comments on NBA legend Bill Walton after his recent death — demanding an apology for their "vile and disgusting" segment.
Many others slammed the duo for their unwarranted bashing after a TikTokker posted excerpts of the downright funny segment.
The choiced words were in response to a video the hoppers made about getting so-called "Disney rash" from walking all day in the hot Florida sun.
Previously, comedians Tim Dillon and Tom Segura also took funny digs at them.
