The new Netflix trailer for its new series "Insatiable" was released last 19 July. The dark comedy gives viewers a short peek at Alyssa Milano as the mom of an overweight-turned-attractive student in the process.
Disney alum Debby Ryan stars as "fatty Patty," an overweight high-school student who gets her jaw wired shut and loses weight. "Now that she finds herself suddenly thin, Patty is out for payback against anyone who has ever made her feel bad about herself," a synopsis reads.
But after having her jaw wired shut, Patty slims down and becomes the proverbial hot girl out for "revenge," as she puts it.
There’s a lot going on here in the trailer. Punches being thrown, erratic driving, make out sessions, a church baptism that resembles a wet t-shirt contest and Alyssa Milano growling that she wants "to punch her in her b—h face." The target of Milano’s wrath is uncertain, but it will surely be revealed after the series debuts on 10 August on Netflix.
The response on Twitter looks overwhelmingly positive too. "Yaaas, I can’t wait!" replied @obrienties to the official "Insatiable" handle, while @celestondeck said the show looks "SO GOOD I CAN’T BREATHE" in all caps.
It is expected that the fat and overweight critics will try to put this show down and justify their lazy and unhealthy lifestyle.
