Sigh Of Relief Everywhere After Schumer Not Gonna Star in "Barbie"

Barbie
About the same time last year, rumors buzzed that Amy Schumer would star in Sony’s upcoming live-action "Barbie" feature. Deadline reported that the "deal was being finalized." Now, just three months later, Schumer is dropping out of the production.

It was probably the pressure from fans who doesn't know how to explain to their children how their favorite doll suddenly became fat and overweight on the screen. However, since nobody hat the guts to confirm this, the official announcement is that the changeup is due to her work schedule.

According to E! News, Schumer said: "Sadly, I'm no longer able to commit to Barbie due to scheduling conflicts. The film has so much promise, and Sony and Mattel have been great partners. I'm bummed, but look forward to seeing Barbie on the big screen."

Sony appeared to confirm the news in an equally fat-friendly statement. "We respect and support Amy’s decision," a Sony spokesperson said in a statement, according to E! News. "We look forward to bringing Barbie to the world and sharing updates on casting and filmmakers soon."

All of this will make it fall into the "typical Hollywood" category: Celebrities are busy; perhaps Schumer simply found a better opportunity; she’s going to have a full calendar promoting her movie Snatched.

However, it cannot be denied that millions of Barbie fans were not happy about Schumer. Aside from being unfunny in her comedy skits, she is vile and full of hate. She shamed people who doesn;t agree with her views and when they shame her back, she run and cries harassment and fat-shaming. No wonder Schumer wouldn’t want to play a character. Many targeted here with so much vengeful hatred the moment it was announced.

Who can portray Barbie better ... Emily Ratajkowski.
