Don't be deceived by the latest propaganda machine of Marvel and Disney+. The new twist that this companies wants us to believe is that the "Ms. Marvel" series is doing well. It is not.
The misleading narrative being peddled is that "Ms. Marvel" is so good that it is now considered that the highest-rated Marvel project on Rotten Tomatoes — higher than "Blank Panther" and "Avengers: Endgame." What they failed to include is that the rating were done by critics, who are usually paid reviewers and not by the regular viewers.
What is not highlighted by the worke media is the fact that "Ms. Marvel" recorded the lowest viewership in its opening five days at Disney +.
According to Samba TV, 775,000 US households watched the premiere of "Ms. Marvel" in the first five days following its release on 8 June 2022.
In comparison, "Loki" earned the biggest opening numbers with 2.5 million. This is followed by "Moon Knight" and "The Falcon And The Winter Soldier" at 1.8 million, "WandaVision" at 1.6 million and "Hawkeye" with 1.5 million.
Also, 54,452 IMDb users have given the show a measly weighted average vote of 6.0/10.
The show is based on the Marvel Comics book series of the same name. "Ms. Marvel" relates the story of Kamala Khan, a Pakistani American teen from Jersey City whose obsession with superheroes turns into something altogether different when she discovers her own otherworldly powers.
Before her realization, her life at home with her mom, Muneeba; father, Yusuf; and brother, Aamir is quite average, just as Kamala herself is.
Audiences were generally disappointed with Iman Vellani's performance as Kamala because of the changes they made to her powers. This negative reaction will probably extend to her upcoming big-screen arrival in "The Marvels", which is slated to get it release on July 2023 following reshoots this summer.
In the meantime, audiences can look forward to the other more exciting non-woke movies available in other platforms like Hulu, Netflix and Amazon.
