If you have not visited your local Yahoo page yet, then maybe it's time to check it out and see the latest changes they made.
Those who are familiar with the global Yahoo page may be familiar with it's layout already, but those who still thought that their local version will retain the look that they are familiar with since its launch will be in for a brief surprising. It's not eye-popping, but it still gives us a breath of fresh air.

Those who are familiar with the global Yahoo page may be familiar with it's layout already, but those who still thought that their local version will retain the look that they are familiar with since its launch will be in for a brief surprising. It's not eye-popping, but it still gives us a breath of fresh air.
Below is the official statement made by the Yahoo Southeast Asia Newsroom:
When two university buddies launched a website to keep track of the best links the Internet had to offer, nobody knew what would come next. That was in 1994, and the site was ‘David and Jerry’s Guide to the World Wide Web’. It’s been 20 years and that site is now known around the world as Yahoo.
Times change and so must we. But, as we welcome you to the new Yahoo Philippines homepage today, we guarantee that while our look has changed, our commitment to making daily habits more inspiring and entertaining hasn’t. The new Yahoo is slicker, more modern and more intuitive than ever, and it’s just the first step on a journey towards creating a completely refreshed homepage experience centered around you.
While you’ll find plenty of familiar features to make you feel at home, the page is also bursting with new details designed to make it even easier to discover what you care about most. And that’s true whether you’re at your desk on your computer, on the sofa with your tablet, or on the bus on your smartphone.
Take our newly designed news feed, for example. Some people say you can have too much of a good thing, but when it comes to your favourite news stories, we disagree! Try scrolling to the bottom of the feed on your desktop, tablet or smartphone and watch it update constantly with the latest stories from Yahoo. There’s always something new to check out.
Just like before, all stories are sorted by category, allowing you to go straight to the content you care most about, be it News, Sports, Lifestyle or Entertainment. And if you don’t have much time, you can still find the day’s top stories – picked by us from across the Yahoo network – right at the top of the page.
If you’re signed in to your Yahoo account, you can also save stories with a quick tap of the Y button, which appears whenever you hover over each article. Or delete them to free up space for something you care about more. As long as you’re logged in, you can pick up where you left off later on any of your devices.
The search box and mail icon remain in the same place, while the left-hand column still links to all your favorite Yahoo pages. But now, on the right, there's a series of feeds that give you instant access to weather, stock prices and horoscopes, which you can also personalize. If the financial markets or astrology really aren't your thing, simply click to remove them.
Take a look around and see how effortless it is to discover your day. You’ll see more changes over the next few months, both big and small.
